Are sponsors expected to purchase everything on the wish list?
No. The wish list provided by the family is just that—a wish list. Sponsors may choose which item(s) they would like to gift to the family.
How much should a sponsor plan to budget for each individual person?
We suggest budgeting $50-$100 per person.
I have questions about the family's wish list. Who do I contact?
Please refer to your confirmation email. It will list a Foundation Communities staff member who can get in contact with the resident. If you need further assistance, please contact Angela.avendano@foundcom.org.
I did not receive a confirmation e-mail with the details of the family I'm sponsoring. Who do I contact?

Can I shop online (ex. Amazon) have gifts delivered directly to the family?
We ask that all gifts be delivered in person during your selected delivery date/time.
Can someone else drop off the gifts on my behalf?
Absolutely! Please be sure that the person delivering the gifts has all the information to complete the In-Kind Donation form.
Can I purchase gift cards for the family I am sponsoring?
Yes! When delivering, please be sure to indicate the gift card quantities and amounts on the in-kind donation form. This will allow us to track important accounting information and ensure the resident knows it is included.
I need to change my delivery date/time. How do I do this?
Please refer to your email confirmation. It will include contact information for updating or changing your delivery date. While we have some flexibility, we do ask that all deliveries be made by Friday Dec. 12th.
Will I meet the family I am sponsoring?
To protect the confidentiality of our families, sponsors do not meet residents.
What can I expect when delivering the gifts?
Sponsors can expect to be greeted by Foundation Communities staff upon arrival. Our staff will help you unload (if needed) and ask you to complete a few short forms before leaving. You should be in/out in about 10 minutes!
Why are the in-kind donation forms required?
This form allows our organization to maintain accurate accounting records and serves as a tax record for donors.
Can I complete the In-Kind Donation form before I deliver the gifts?
Our staff will ask that you complete it electronically while onsite.
Should gifts be wrapped before delivery?
We ask donors to leave all gifts for children unwrapped. This allows the parent(s) to know what gifts were purchased for their child(ren). However, you can wrap gifts for adults and/or provide gift wrapping materials along with your delivery, if you choose.
I'd like to include a note for the family with my gifts. Is that ok?
Absolutely! Many sponsors enjoy including a personalized note to the family they've sponsored.
