Do I have to live at a Foundation Communities property in order to apply?

Yes. In order to be considered for the program, you must currently be a resident of one of the Foundation Communities properties listed on the online application.

I missed the Nov. 3rd deadline to apply. Can I still submit my application?

Late applications are not accepted. We are very sorry!

I have received assistance in previous years, but now I am not eligible. Why?

As our program has grown, we have updated our eligibility requirements.

I've already submitted my application. Can I make changes to my wish list?

Once an application is submitted, the only changes we accept are changes to household size. If you have had a change to your household size, please let someone from your property team (Property manager, case manager, Learning Center manager, etc) know.

I'd like to include a family member who hasn't been formally added to the lease yet. Can I do this?

No. Every applicant—children and adults—must be on the lease in order to be considered for sponsorship.

I think my application was incorrectly denied. Who can I talk to about this?

Please contact your property manager. They can provide additional details.

When/how will I know if my family has been sponsored?

When your family is matched with a sponsor, you will receive an automated email notifying you of the good news! If you have not received an email with an update by Tuesday Dec. 9th, we encourage you to contact your property manager to inquire about the status.

Will sponsors purchase everything on my wish list?

Sponsors are NOT expected to purchase everything on your wish list. The wish list serves as a general guide they can use as they shop.

When/where will I need to pick up the gifts?

Residents will be asked to pick up their gifts sometime between 12/5-12/16 at the property where they live. A staff member will call or email you once they have confirmed that your sponsor has delivered the gifts. Gifts are usually picked up inside of the leasing office (but please confirm with your property staff).

I'd like to thank my sponsor. How can I do this?

When picking up your gifts, you'll have an opportunity to write a 'Thank You' card for your sponsor, which our team will mail for you. We'll provide cards/envelopes/stamps!
